EXIT Hika wooden playhouse
With the EXIT Hika wooden outdoor playhouse, your child can have the most creative and imaginative adventures in their own garden, every day. At the front of this play equipment for in the garden is a unique roleplay wheel. If you turn this wheel, you will get to see one of eight themes. This way you transform the wooden playhouse into an ice-cream stall, castle, veterinary practice, or police station. The options are endless!
The compact and open outdoor playhouse is suitable for children aged 2 and up. They can easily walk in and out of this open house. There’s enough space to move and for more children to play, share and have fun together. So go ahead and invite the neighbourhood kids for an afternoon of playing restaurant or doctor in our Hika wooden playhouse! At the same time, the wooden playhouse forms a cosy play area where your child can also enjoy playing their own games.
Play equipment for every garden
The compact outdoor playhouse has an attractive and timeless design making it fit every garden. Details like a counter, fencing, shelves with chalkboard paint and a playful roof with a roleplay wheel form a wonderful finishing to the EXIT Hika wooden playhouse! The baker can serve the most delicious cupcakes on the spacious counter, while the veterinarian assistant schedules appointments with his customers for their sick pets at the same counter. And the chalk board? That’s where dad, mum, big sister, or brother writes this week’s offers on.
FSC-certified wood
The wooden outdoor playhouse is made of high-quality FSC® certified ceder wood (FSC 100%, SCS-COC-007799). This type of wood is naturally resistant to weather influences such as rain, sun, and snow. Wood rot does not stand a chance! This means a longer lifespan and thus longer playing fun. It also requires little maintenance, which is ideal! Because we consciously choose wood from FSC-certified forests, you can be sure that this garden play equipment is good for the environment. The wooden playhouse is easy to assemble with the pre-assembled panels. Children will immediately experience the most fun adventures!
Sustainable: 100% reparaible & recyclable
The Hika wooden playhouse has been developed in accordance with our EXIT sustainable philosophy. This playhouse for example is 100% repairable. This means that every part can be replaced. Spare parts can be ordered for at least five years after purchase. In addition, the wooden playhouse is 100% recyclable. This is because only mono materials have been used. These are materials that consist of just one type of raw material. These materials are easier to recycle because a separation of raw materials is not required.
For what uses are outdoor playing equipment suitable?
- Domestic use: our outdoor playing equipment meets all safety standards for domestic use, which makes them suitable for use in the garden.
- Public use: our outdoor playing equipment meets all safety standards for public use, which makes it suitable for (semi) public areas such as schools, institutions, societies, playgrounds and camping grounds.
- Domestic and public use: our outdoor playing equipment meets all safety standards for both domestic and public use, which makes it suitable for private gardens, and for (semi) public areas such as schools, institutions, societies, playgrounds and camping grounds.
What is the style of the playhouse? A sleek playhouse usually has a classic look with lots of symmetry, while the more playful house is asymmetrical and has an imaginative look.

The EXIT wooden playhouses are made from FSC® certified cypress wood (FSC 100%, SCS-COC-000652-WH). This type of wood does not splinter and by nature it is resistant to weather influences, such as rain, and therefore resistant to wood rot. You do not need to treat the EXIT wooden playhouses before use.
The EXIT Aksent wooden playhouse series is made from FSC certified pinewood (FSC 100%, SCS-COC-000652-WH). This high-quality wood comes from Scandinavia. Pinewood is impregnated under high pressure. This ensures the longest possible lifespan and the wood requires no further treatment.
To maintain the beauty of the wood for years to come, we advise you to stain the wood every second year. If mildew appears on the wood, it is best to rub it off with a dry cloth and perhaps green soap.
In most of our wooden playhouses, the slide can be attached to spots other than the ones indicated in the manual or on our website.
In the Fantasia 300, Loft (300, 350, 500, 550, 700, 750) and Crooky (300, 350, 500, 550, 700, 750) the stairs and the slide can be attached on either the left-hand or the right-hand side.
In houses with an extension or a veranda, the slide can also be mounted at the front side of the playhouse. This applies to the Loft (350, 550, 750) and Crooky (350, 550, 750) playhouses. The fence at the front side of the extension or veranda is moved over, creating room for attaching the slide at the opening in the front side.
Cypress wood is known for its distinctive fragrance. Over time, the intensity of the smell will decrease once it is exposed to the outside air.
Place the playhouse on a flat dry surface at least two metres from any structure or obstacle such as a tree, fence, garage, house, overhanging branches, washing lines or power lines.

Yes, you can. Just don't leave it on a moist surface such as grass during the winter.
Cypress wood will age over time, this is a natural process due to exposure to sunlight and rain. It ensures that longevity improves. So keep in mind that the appearance of the product will change slightly. If you don't like this, you can paint the playhouse in a different colour, as required.
We recommend using a screwdriver. The wood is very soft so be careful not to tighten the screws too far. The tools needed to attach the role play wheel are included as standard. The house mostly has pre-drilled holes. The assembly takes around 60 minutes with two people.
The assembly instructions contain an overview of all parts included. Any additional accessories, such as chalk for the chalkboard, mood lights, a bell, etc., are not included.

Sand for a sandpit is available; it's also known as play sand. The sand is sieved and rinsed, has a fine grain and therefore perfect for children to play in.
Do you already have sand at home? Check the following points: Is the sand sticky? With sand that is too loose, children cannot build sand castles and that takes away from the fun of playing in the sandpit! Is there any clay in the sand? Clay dirties the knees and creates brown stains on clothing. Are there no sharp pieces in the sand? If there are pieces of rubble in the sand, children can get bruised.
We recommend filling the sandpit to 75%. This helps prevent too much sand from spilling out next to the sandpit. Based on this advice, you'll need about 175 kg of play sand.
