How do I keep my frame pool clean?

A refreshing dip in your frame pool is only possible if the water is actually fresh! How do you keep your above ground frame pool in your garden nice and clean? Dive into the world of pool maintenance together with EXIT Toys:

Use a frame pool filter

Keep your frame pool (water) clean with the EXIT cartridge- or sand filter pumps. Filter pumps are an absolute necessity when it comes to keeping your pool clean. Due to the water circulation algae, moulds and bacteria hardly stand a chance. It filters the dirt out of the frame pool water. So that’s how a filter pump keeps the water clear and clean. Please note: Always keep the filter pumps (both with cartridge, sand and filter wadding) switched on, even when the frame pool is not being used.

Clear frame pool water

Disinfect your metal frame pool to keep away those very algae, moulds and bacterias. Chlorine is a most effective disinfectant. You can also add salt to the water in your EXIT frame pool. A disinfectant keeps your water hygienic, so that you can swim safely in your pool.

In balance

But be careful when adding disinfectants. It is important that the water is in balance. Check the quality of the pool water regularly with the EXIT test strips. An insufficient pH-value can keep the chlorine from working, preventing the water from staying clean. Check our blog for more information about testing the frame pool water.

 

Make sure that the disinfectant is added to the water evenly. By using a chlorine dispenser you can let the chlorine tablet dissolve slowly so that the chlorine will spread evenly throughout the water.

Cover your pool

It is of course not always possible to swim outside, which is why we strongly advise you to cover your above ground pool when it is not being used. You can use a pool cover, but an EXIT frame pool dome is also ideal! A dome turns your frame pool into an indoor pool in no time.

Do it yourself

With the maintenance kit from EXIT Toys you can remove the last bits of dirt from the water. Clean the bottom with the vacuum head and remove the dirt using the scoop net. By cleaning the water regularly, your frame pool will always be ready to use.
