The Ivy outdoor playset is approved to toy standards and suitable for children aged between 3 and 8 years.
What material is the EXIT Ivy made of?
The frame of the Ivy outdoor playset is made of galvanized and powder-coated steel. This gives it a long lifespan and less chance of rusting.
Do GetSet accessories also fit on the Ivy outdoor playset?
The GetSet accessories have a different suspension system so they are not suitable for the Ivy playset.

What surface do you recommend for my Ivy playset?
The Ivy playset can be placed on loose surfaces. This includes sandy soil, clay soil and grass.

We recommend keeping 2 metres free around the outdoor playset for each Ivy. This prevents users of the Ivy from bumping into walls, fences or other objects while playing.

Before you start digging, think carefully about where you will place the Ivy, also in relation to any cables and pipes that may be in the ground. This will prevent them from being damaged.
What concrete do you recommend for anchoring the Ivy?
We recommend using rapid-set concrete when anchoring the Ivy outdoor playset. One bag of 25 kg per ground anchor is sufficient.
Buiding the Ivy play set
How many people do I need to set up the Ivy outdoor playset?
Given the size of the equipment, it is wise for several adults to assemble the Ivy. This certainly comes in handy when anchoring and assembling the large components. With two adults, building the least elaborate version takes 1.5 hours and the most elaborate version takes 2.5 hours.
Are special tools needed to assemble the Ivy?
To assemble the Ivy outdoor playset, you will need the following tools: a rubber mallet, spirit level, shovel and tape measure.
Furthermore, make sure you have enough quick concrete for anchoring (see instructions). It is also useful to have a bucket of water ready.
Tip: using a ratchet spanner or a socket set for the cordless drill will make assembly a lot faster.
Is it possible to dismantle the Ivy outdoor playset and reassemble it somewhere else?
Yes, you can dismantle the Ivy and reassemble it somewhere else. Do always check that the parts are technically sound before reassembling the unit. If in doubt, feel free to contact our customer service department.
Maintaining the Ivy play set
How do I clean my EXIT Ivy?
It is best to clean the outdoor playset with a dry cloth or a wet cloth with cold to lukewarm water. When cleaning the steel parts, do not use hot water, detergents, other solvents or hard materials such as scouring sponges and brushes. However, the wooden parts may be cleaned with soap.
Can I clean the Ivy outdoor playset with a pressure washer?
It is best to clean the Ivy with a dry or wet cloth. The force of a pressure washer can damage the protective layer of the Ivy's frame.
Can EXIT Ivy outdoor playset withstand wind or storm?
In principle, the Ivy stands firm thanks to its anchoring system and can therefore withstand gusts of wind. Nevertheless, if strong wind or a storm is expected, it is wise to remove the accessories from the outdoor playset.
What can I do if a part of the Ivy playset needs replacing?

No, the wooden parts of the Ivy are treated with a water-based, transparent stain for optimal protection. This makes the wood resistant to wood rot and weathering such as rain. If you want to treat the wood additionally, we recommend a stain, so that the wood can continue to breathe.

Yes, in seasons with higher humidity, black spots may appear on the wood (weather spots). This is not harmful and disappears when the humidity drops and the temperature rises. You can remove them with lukewarm water and soap if necessary.

What is the best way to clean the fabric parts of my EXIT Ivy outdoor playset?
We recommend wiping the fabric with a soft cloth and a lather of mild soap. If necessary, you can disassemble the fabric parts of the unit and hand wash them for a more thorough cleaning.
